Our Programs

Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG):

The Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program offers financial assistance to agencies responding to the immediate housing needs of homeless populations. This is accomplished through a comprehensive community-wide Continuum of Care (CoC) planning process and implementation strategy. ESG grants provide nonprofit organizations and local units of government with funding for shelter or transitional housing in the areas of operating expenses and staffing costs, homeless prevention programs, costs associated with implementation of the statewide Homeless Management Information System, and CoC coordinating and planning activities expenses. For more information regarding ESG funds or to apply for assistance, visit the MSHDA Web site.
